IML Special Education Parent Involvement
SPECIAL EDUCATION PARENT INVOLVEMENT
It is the policy of the Veazie School Department to adhere to each section of Maine Special Education Regulations Chapter 101 which speaks of parental notification, communication and consent. Additionally, the Veazie School Department will make the commitment to involve parents in each step of the special education process, feeling that parents are an integral and important part of the decision making process. Veazie school staff will take every opportunity to formally and informally contact and consult with parents in order to insure full educational opportunity for children with disabilities.
