A Letter from Veazie Superintendent & Principal, Matthew D. Cyr:

Dear Veazie Residents,

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) as amended by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) mandates that all states and school units provide an annual report card that shares the achievement and progress of students and schools as well as information about graduation rates and qualification of teachers in the school unit. This data is used to inform school and district improvement initiatives. This data can also assist parents and community members in collaborating with educators to support student achievement.

Parents have the right to request teacher qualifications at any time by submitting a written request to the Superintendent of Schools. The Superintendent will also speak to any questions regarding the ESSA Report Card.

The Veazie Community School and Veazie Public Schools ESSA Report Cards can be viewed at the Maine Department of Education ESSA Dashboard.
