A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Welcome to the Veazie Community School! VCS is a beautiful, cutting-edge public school that offers a full spectrum of learning opportunities for students in Pre-Kindergarten through the 8th grade. Our amazing facility, along with overwhelming community support, enables specialized access to Art, Physical Education, Health, STEM, Library Media, Spanish and Music (including instrumentals in grades 4-8). We provide a variety of intervention strategies including daily RTI blocks, Special Education, Speech & Language, ELL, Chapter 104, Reading Recovery and Title 1 support. Veazie Community School also offers a wide range of extra and co-curricular learning opportunities including FLEX Friday, Robotics & Chess Clubs, Student Council, Civil Rights Team and many seasonal sports teams including Cross-Country Running, Boys & Girls Soccer, Boys & Girls Basketball, Baseball, Softball and Track & Field. We are a 1-1 technology school with iPads for primary grades, chromebooks for the intermediate ages and Macbook Airs for Middle School. Students regularly utilize a variety of STEM resources including 3-D printers, hydroponic growing labs and a school garden that is part of our farm to table program.
The Veazie Community School day begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and dismisses at 2:35 p.m. Attendance matters! School and student safety is always a high priority at VCS--thank you for your ongoing vigilance and support of our safety procedures. We are always accepting new students--please inquire within the front office for registration materials and procedures--947-6573. You may also contact myself at email@example.com. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have as well as help setup a guided school tour. Beyond the 8th grade, Veazie Community School provides school choice to a number of area high schools--an incredibly rare opportunity for parents to be in the driver's seat of their children's high school years.
Our community, school and students are second to none! CHECK IT OUT! If you are new to the area and looking for the right community to settle, look no further. Veazie Community School is where it's at! "Small School, BIG Heart!"
